Russ, just a note to let you know of my appreciation of your work and philosophy. You took the words right out of my mouth. I too am self taught and started creating in earnest upon retirement two years ago. I live in beautiful wooded southern Indiana (Bloomington). I had to look up Camano Island. I was surprised it is near the San Juan islands where we vacationed one summer when my step son lived in Seattle. Your work is beautiful. I share your reverence for wood.
